Buying a used car? Have it checked before you hand over the cash.
We meet you at the seller's place, scan the car's computer, inspect the parts that cost the most to fix, and give you a plain report so you can buy, negotiate, or walk away.

Sounds like this?
Signs it's time to call
- Buying from a private seller or a small lot
- The price seems too good
- No service records
- The seller recently cleared a check engine light
- You want leverage to negotiate
What we measure
Readiness monitors- Incomplete monitors can mean codes were recently cleared
Stored codes- Including pending codes the dash light doesn't show
Leaks & fluids- Oil, coolant, and transmission fluid condition
Brakes & suspension- Pad thickness, rotor condition, and worn joints
From our jobs

The visit
What happens when we arrive
- Scan for codes and check readiness monitors
- Inspect the engine bay, fluids, belts, and hoses
- Check brakes, tires, suspension, and underbody from the ground
- Test-drive if the seller allows it
- Walk you through what we found and what it would cost to fix
When it's a shop job
We inspect what can be seen and tested without a lift or taking parts apart. An inspection lowers your risk, but it can't promise a car won't have problems later.
Questions people ask
Can you meet me at the seller's house?
Yes, anywhere in our service area. Let the seller know a mechanic is coming.
How long does it take?
Usually about an hour.
Will the seller be offended?
Honest sellers expect it. A seller who refuses an inspection is telling you something.
